19th Annual Raise a Reader Day
On Wednesday September 23rd, remember to put a few extra bills in your pocket for Raise-a-Reader Day happening in Kamloops, Barriere, Chase, Clearwater and Logan Lake. Local sport teams, business, and community leaders will be volunteering from 7:00-9:00 am at various Tim Hortons and McDonalds locations to trade special edition flyers for donations to literacy.
100% of the money collected will stay in the community, to help fund local family literacy programs. The funds raised will support many free literacy programs like Parent Child Mother Goose, One to One Reading, Bright Red Bookshelves and the Bright Red Book Bus.
